One of my best friends, Cale, had his childhood dream come true when he became a pilot for Southwest! At a very young age, he dreamt of one day flying airplanes. The social video above tells his story! As a little boy, Cale’s family went on a trip to Orlando to visit Disney and for the first time he stepped onto an airplane and flew on the iconic gold and orange Southwest plane of the 90s! Later that year, he was assigned to draw a photo and write a short story about what he dreams to do when he grew up. Cale drew this airplane!
The social video was special for so many reasons. First, because my friend’s story was told in a way that truly reflects the heart of our company, but also showcases the way his life evolved into where he is today. It was so cool seeing this video out in the wild, popping up as social ads, and seeing all of the response from friends and family sharing it with one another!
