TX Lake & Land

TX Lake & Land

Matt Wood and his team at TX Lake & Land specialize in buying and selling lakefront properties in the DFW area. They work hard to build quality relationships with their clients to ensure the best service and an enjoyable experience when taking the pivotal step of buying or selling a home.

I had the pleasure of working with this team to rebrand from Woodlands Real Estate to the newly established TX Lake & Land Real Estate Group. Partnering with Matt, our aim was to develop a new brand identity that speaks to the Texas theme of their work and the mission behind their company.

Shown above is the complete Style Guide we built together to promote their brand.

Highland Park Three-Peat Movie Poster

Highland Park Three-Peat Movie Poster

Highland Park High School won three consecutive Football State Championships! This was such an incredible accomplishment for the school and a rarity in the world of High School Football that a feature-length documentary was created in honor of these students, coaches and the school’s achievement.

I was honored to be chosen to design the movie poster to promote the new film, pay tribute to the students and highlight this crowning achievement for the community!

Word Cloud Artwork

Word Cloud Artwork

The Greenville Christian School recently constructed an all new building on their campus and wanted to honor all of the various donors with a piece of artwork furnished in the building. I was given a list of all donors and asked to create a word-cloud in the shape of their school logo. This is what we concluded with!

The massive Eagle head is roughly 5 feet wide and is paired with a tribute to the donors and the year the project was completed. Below is a more detailed view of the artwork as a whole.

Switch Development

Switch Development

Switch Development is a new tech startup company that aims to deliver unparalleled web and marketing materials for other startup companies launching today. They offer all of the tools one might need to start their own company, bolster their brand and get the word out for their product or service.

Partnering with their owner, Chris Mattison, I am grateful to have had the opportunity to design this new logo and help affirm brand awareness for their business. We even created a fun animation for email signatures and website (shown below).

Dirt Food Branding

Dirt Food Branding

Dirt Food™ is a forward-thinking, health-bolstering company who values truly organic ingredients and aims to provide as many nourishing snacks as they can. Their mission is to show the world that nutritious can be delicious and that even in the midst of poor health and illness, there is hope in healing!

Teaming up with Dirt Food™ has been such a fun ride. Together we discovered an all-new look and feel for their brand as we modernized their logo, fine-tuned their color scheme and typed out their story in all new fonts!

The Smiley Team Branding

The Smiley Team Branding

Meredith and Clay Smiley service the DFW area as two of the most knowledgeable and specialized real estate agents you can find. Meredith had been practicing for years and now that her husband Clay is joining her, she wanted to make sure they had a new brand identity that represented the two of them becoming one team!

The logo we developed features two separate lines, joining together to form their single initial “S.”

FIGMO RV Photo Edit

FIGMO RV Photo Edit

FIGMO Adventures owner Mike Knuckles had snapped this quick photo on his phone last time he had taken his RV out. He asked me if I'd include it on his new website but I felt it needed some substantial touch ups before it would really work well. This video features a time lapse of my entire editing process from start to finish. 45 minutes of work sped up into a 1.5 minute clip! I love photoshop!

FIGMO Adventures Branding

FIGMO Adventures Branding

FIGMO_Color.png

FIGMO stands for "Finally I Got My Opportunity!" FIGMO Adventures is a newly founded travel agency out of the Rockwall, Texas area. Their owner, Mike Knuckles is a former member of the U.S. Air Force and wanted to pay tribute to that branch of the military when designing his new brand. Working together with he and his wife Jen, we designed the branding to implement both the Command Chief Master Sergeant rank emblem and the various destinations (Mountains, Forest, and Beach) that FIGMO has to offer!

First Response Branding

First Response Branding

First Response Emergency Services has tasked me with re-designing their logo and creating a fresh new look for their branding. I took the existing globe element from their previous logo and reworked the concept to provide an updated look and feel. They service to the entire world so they wanted to make sure this global presence was still included in their design. This new logo is both simple and clearly communicates their identity. I look forward to building more elements for them moving forward.

Katy Train Photo Edit

Katy Train Photo Edit

After being asked to remove someone from this Katy Train photo, I wanted to quickly record my work and show my process of erasing the individual from view. I did this by compositing two photos together, matching the perspective and cloning out the remainder of his body. Check out the video above to see a time lapse of my process

Basketcase

Basketcase

Subscription boxes are growing more and more popular. Nearly every niche market now has some sort of box you can receive in the mail every month! What about gift baskets? The newly founded Dallas startup "Basketcase" aims to change the game with their custom made-to-order gift baskets of all shapes and sizes. Simply choose one of their many themes, select your size and customize each order with special add-ons and features.

Working directly with the founders I sought to create a fresh logo for their company that is both inviting, colorful and speaks to the various gifts one might find in their basket. Whether you're buying a birthday basket for your kid or a celebratory wine and cheese basket for a co-worker... Basketcase makes each and every gift unique and special! It was a pleasure working with these guys and I look forward to watching them continue to grow in the future!

Texan Theater App Promotion

Texan Theater App Promotion

iPhone.jpg

With the release of the new iPhone X, I was asked to create a new promotional graphic to support the Texan Theater App I designed last year. This app allows customers to buy tickets, reserve seats and much more. This promo highlights the features of the app while also showing it off on the screen of the cutting edge phone.

CNN Panorama Touch Up

CNN Panorama Touch Up

While working with Cyclomedia® I was given the opportunity to touch up a variety of different images from all across the states! My favorite was this panoramic photo of the CNN building in Atlanta, GA.

Look closely and you will see all of the items I removed, specifically there were tourists standing in front of the logo as well as a broken down car on the right hand side! I love doing work like this, touching up photos is one of my favorite things that I get to do.

Here is one other example:

Reverse Flash

Reverse Flash

I can't wait for the new Justice League movie to drop! It is only a matter of time before this guy shows up in the new DC movie universe. I wanted to take a break from work, bust out photoshop and create a rendering of what this iconic villain might look like on the silver screen!

Photo Retouch

Photo Retouch

Retouching a photo can make all the difference in the world! Here is an example of the type of enhancements you can expect. Check out the before and after of this lake house photo.

Photoshop Ski Boat (Before & After)

Photoshop Ski Boat (Before & After)

While working with Hexbug®, they wanted to see what a branded ski boat might look like after being skinned with vinyl. The original image (left) was altered inside of Photoshop to present a possible design for a branded boat. All colors and graphics on the right hand side were added in Photoshop.

CORE Signage (Day vs. Night)

CORE Signage (Day vs. Night)

When considering a backlit sign for the front of their building, the team from the CORE wanted to see a rendering of what this sign might look like. To give them a proper demonstration, I chose to use Photoshop to alter the original photo (left) to create a night time view (right). In both photos, the CORE sign does not truly exist. All signage was added in Photoshop onto a black building.

Texan Marquee (Before & After)

Texan Marquee (Before & After)

For the cover of a historic restoration magazine, I chose to use photoshop to add photo-realistic marquee letters to the front of the theater. The red letters were designed to mimic the classic red plastic letters that the theater used to use to promote their movies.

Welch's Grape Juice Ad

Welch's Grape Juice Ad

As we are (currently) nearing the end of this 2016 Presidential Election, I thought it would be fun to create a clever political ad for Welch's and their iconic grape juice. This project was fun to work on as it leaves a sweet taste in your mouth rather than the bitter we so frequently taste from the news and social media.
